LEOPARD Project Holds First Annual Meeting in Lisbon to Advance Liver Transplantation Research

Lisbon, Portugal – April 3–4, 2025 — The LEOPARD Project marked a major milestone with its First Annual Meeting, hosted by consortium partner Ophiomics in Lisbon. The two-day event brought together leading experts, researchers, and stakeholders committed to transforming liver transplantation through cutting-edge research and predictive modelling.

The meeting featured a full agenda of presentations and collaborative discussions across the project’s core work packages, including data management, clinical studies, statistical modelling, and OMICs signatures. Participants reviewed progress, evaluated novel data collection tools, discussed regulatory pathways, and refined communication and dissemination strategies.

A key achievement of the event was the consensus reached on methodologies and the establishment of clear, actionable next steps for each work stream. The alignment reinforced the consortium’s shared commitment to improving liver transplant outcomes through coordinated innovation and data-driven approaches.
